Curated concept store U SPACE, bringing a hand-picked selection of the best Ukrainian fashion and lifestyle brands to Barcelona, proudly opens its doors in the El Born area at Carrer Antic de Sant Joan, 8.
U SPACE is a result of the mutual efforts of two Ukrainian ladies – Tetyana Chumak and Maria Slipenchuk, who decided to share their vision and passion with the international community once the war has made them leave their hometowns.
The space has been designed by an internationally renowned Ukrainian architect Sergey Makhno, who created a modern organic interior with a uniquely Ukrainian touch within U SPACE. Sergey’s light and decor objects are available as part of U SPACE curated selection alongside key
pieces and bestsellers from the finest Ukrainian designers and artists as well as exclusive items from each brand, created specially for the gallery.
The opening event was dedicated to Ukrainian Christmas. The owners attempted to create an immersive atmosphere with a unique festive touch, filling the space with the traditional straw ornaments.
The first exclusive pieces by Ukrainian fashion designer Elena Reva were presented at the opening. The designer brought to Barcelona her sleepwear-as-daywear staples in soft shades of blue and yellow, which were exclusively available for purchase alongside various interior and art objects from other Ukrainian designers.
Vena Brykalin, the fashion director of Vogue Ukraine, was invited to Barcelona to hold a public talk and discuss with the guests the role of Ukrainian designers on the international fashionmap.
U SPACE is going to update their assortment every month, presenting new exclusive drops from Ukrainian brands and artists.
